have had constipation since a baby too and am now 60 years old. My stomach doctor gave me a prescription because he said I definitely have a spastic colon. They put me under when they did the colon scoping. You may want to have an upper and lower scoping of your stomach and perhaps then you can get a prescription so you don't suffer daily like I used to. Hope this helps.

Try holy tea.
Its an herbal mixture that helps regulate the stomach and digestive tract and may help.
here's a link to the product:

Ew'w'w'w! Don't remind me! I've been constipated practically since Birth and Senakot was just one of five, yes, five different meds I was on, three times a day, every day for more years than I care to remember. I'm regretting coming off them though as I think my problems're making a pretty good comeback, despite yet more medication to regulate various other aspects of my buggered body. I remember actually throwing up what didn't come out the other end as I just couldn't cope when it came to hours spent in the smallest room so I was always being sent home from School 'cause I wasn't eating and had one hell of a stomach upset, usually once every few months despite this rather fine coctail of various laxatives, including Dulklax, which I believe they've just bought a new one out called Dulkal ease. I might go back on either Senakot or Dulkal Ease myself.

Dururur! actually, I meant Dulcolax, lmfao. Never been much good at medical terms especially the spellings.

Here's the skinny. have two oranges before bed. With two to three glasses of luke-warm water. It is inportant that you have the white part of the orange, just under the rhine. This is pure fiber. When you wake, have two to three glasses of luke warm water. If you can stand it, a glass or two in the middle of the day of prune juice will help the cause so to speak.

When I had my son, I was constipated for over a week. Finally I was told it was the Vicodin I was on for my C-section pain. It hurt so bad when I finally could go, not just because of all that was impacted inside me, but because of the tender muscles in my abdominal area that were cut. Prune juice is nasty, but it works, and so does fiber. Although I'm sure you've tried all that before. Don't know...
